  1. A nothing article and interview, completely ignoring the upfront reality. Elon effectively took the trust that people saw in the supercharger network…their very and only one reason…to get an EV, and completely destroyed it. Let’s not forget the decision to share the network with other manufacturer’s EV would have kicked started the sales of other EVs, those owners also having confidence in having a reliable and wide spread charging network. Mr. Musk, three days ago, single handily tanked EV adoption in the US.

    • Your take is illogical. Other companies have cut back drastically on EV production. There is no issue regarding other companies’ EVs crowding out Tesla vehicles at supercharging stations.

In addition, Tesla is the only company making a profit on EVs in the US. Tesla is the only reason EVs in the US are even a thing.

Also, Tesla will continue to add Supercharging stalls. They just won’t focus as much on procuring new sites.

Finally, other charging companies have adopted the Tesla charging standards. There is a ton of money available to build new charging infrastructure from the so-called ‘inflation reduction act’. I am certain that other companies are willing to build out the charging infrastructure.

Why you gotta hate on Tesla?

      Illogical and emotional…

      • On point and factual, in addition to details being posted exactly as reported in other sources from ArsTechnica to Gizmodo and others. A change of leadership is being called for.

    • Somebody told you that he has nuked the entire charging network? He has fired the planning and strategy team, while people who are working on currently expanding the network will continue. The current network obviously also continues. Also time for other companies to invest in the standard charging network now.
